Krystal bankruptcy shakes the region

Growing up in Chattanooga we took pride that Krystal, the “Square Burger of the South,” was born there. We ate lots of them.

So I was shaken to read that Krystal went bankrupt this week. Lousy management and not keeping up with expected standards of service and speed were reasons given. It may be because, even though there are about 25 locations in The OJT 100 market, there aren’t any in Tallahassee. I cannot do my part.

I leave you with this iconic Krystal commercial of 1975, where the woman claims she “ate 12 Krystals once.” Amateur. Long live Krystal.
