Junior League of Tallahassee, Second Harvest fight food insecurity

by The 100 Companies

The Junior League of Tallahassee, Second Harvest of the Big Bend, UF/IFAS and Sabal Palm Elementary recently teamed up to host an event to combat food insecurity among Sabal Palm students and their families. Second Harvest brought its mobile pantry to the school, and families were able to “shop” for groceries free of charge.

“The Junior League of Tallahassee is dedicated to supporting basic needs for children and families in our community. I am proud of our Mighty Meals Chair, Lisa Lohman, and her committee for envisioning and executing Grow Together as a Family,” JLT President Carla Juarez Farley said.
