by The 100 Companies

The Lauren’s Kids “Walk in My Shoes” trek made its way to Tallahassee on Monday to raise awareness of the impacts of child sexual abuse and how it can be identified and prevented. An estimated 42 million survivors live in the U.S.

The walk’s Tallahassee stops included Senate Democratic Leader Lauren Book – the founder of Lauren’s Kids – teaching Sabal Palm Elementary School students personal safety lessons from her Safer, Smarter Kids curriculum, which has previously won a Suncoast Regional Emmy Award. The walk portion was held in the afternoon, running from Kleman Plaza to the Pace Center for Girls.
