For the first time in program history, the Florida State men’s tennis team won the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) championship. The Seminoles came from behind to top the two-time defending national champions, Virginia, to win the conference title.
The Cavaliers won 62 straight conference matches before FSU’s 4-3 win. Florida State was down three matches to none before winning four straight, including the clincher where Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc topped Virginia’s Chris Rodesch. Both are ranked in the top five nationally.
As conference champions, Florida State earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The full bracket will be released on Monday.
