Alissa, the lead character in “Traveling Light” by Lynne Branard, is on an adventure to return an unexpected item, a complete stranger’s urn and ashes, to its rightful home. She makes a few new friends during her travels and the trip ends up changing her life for the better.
Initially, I was a little unsure about the potential heaviness of the whole urn and ashes thing but was quickly won over by the characters and plot, including Alissa’s three-legged dog.
