Think about it. You’re wearing an expensive dress that will never see the light of day after the wedding. According to Wedding Wire, bridesmaids spent between $1,200-$1,800 in 2017. Consider inflation and that amount is much higher today.
“You should only say yes to what you truly can commit to with integrity,” says etiquette expert Lizzie Post. This is not to say we don’t want to be part of our bestie’s big day; it’s about knowing it’s okay to say no to being a bridesmaid.
