Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez kicks off the “Race for Our Heroes 5K” at Tom Brown Park tomorrow, Feb. 24 at 8 a.m. Competitors must register to participate and early registration is $25. Competitors who register on-site must pay $35. All Proceeds go to the Florida Veteran’s Foundation.
The Florida Department of Veteran’s Affairs, the Florida Health Care Association Gulf Winds Track Club and Mission BBQ are sponsoring the 5K run in the park. Challenge Coins will be awarded to the top three male and female runners, walkers and ruckers. The top K-9s will also be awarded Challenge Coins for their performances.
