A dozen Florida State football players begin their journey to the NFL at the scouting combine in Indianapolis on Monday, Feb. 26. Defensive end Jared Verse is nearly certain to be selected in the first round and wide receiver Keon Coleman could sneak into the end of the first day.
Quarterback Jordan Travis is the biggest question mark. He is old for a rookie (24), smaller than the average NFL quarterback (6-foot-1 and 212 pounds) and does not possess a strong arm. His athleticism, creativity, accuracy and composure should all serve him well in the draft process. Travis would be a project.
