With two universities and a highly-ranked community college, Tallahassee is home to more than 60,000 students during the school year. What better place to celebrate National Higher Education Day, an annual event championing college readiness and affordability?
Earlier this year, a U.S. News & World Report study ranked Florida as the best state in the nation for higher education, evaluating factors like two- and four-year graduation rates, educational attainment, low student debt and tuition costs.
The 2018 legislative session also expanded the Bright Futures scholarship program and implemented requirements for universities to help students become workforce ready.
