Each year, 250,000 children under age 20 are diagnosed with cancer. Two-thirds of these patients will suffer chronic conditions from their treatment; and for one-quarter of these patients, the disease will prove fatal. Here are some ways you can honor their fight:
• Wear a gold lapel pin, symbolizing the resiliency of these children.
• Host a PJammin for Kids with Cancer event.
• “Go the extra mile” this month for kids with cancer with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. If you run or cycle, log your miles and ask friends, family and co-workers to pledge or donate in support.
