I’ve long been a proponent of moving the recognition of Presidents Day to the Monday after the Super Bowl.
There is always discussion of well, gee, instead of that, let’s just move the Super Bowl to Saturday night. Friends, you’d rather try to return the opening kickoff without wearing a helmet and pads than to try to get the NFL owners to give up Sunday Super Bowls. Ratings. Money. Maximizing both.
So as Presidents Day approaches, remember that 17 million people called in sick the Monday after the Super Bowl. It just takes an act of Congress. Call yours today.
