Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park offers some of the best night sky viewing in the area. With little light pollution, the island location of the park allows visitors a view they rarely get anywhere else.
In addition to a fantastic view of the stars, you can see Jupiter and Saturn. Depending on the timing, it may even be possible to see the International Space Station or the Milky Way.
The park closes at dusk, but registered campers and Florida State Parks Family Annual Pass holders have after-hours viewing opportunities, including use of the park observation platform.
