Tallahassee may not be home to a National Park, but that doesn’t mean you can’t visit one. Here are the three closest National Parks:
1. Congaree National Park (South Carolina) – This 26,000-acre park is just over 300 miles from Tallahassee, or a seven-hour drive.
2. Great Smoky Mountains National Park (North Carolina, Tennessee) – Over 520,000 acres, this park attracts over 12 million people yearly. It takes about eight hours to make the 370-mile journey.
3. Everglades National Park (Florida) – One of the largest in the lower 48 states, this park is 1.5 million acres. The 400-mile trek takes about nine hours to drive.
