Arepana Latin Grill is one of Tallahassee’s newest restaurants. It’s similar in set up to Chipotle, but as its owner describes, is everything but “Tex-Mex.”
Named after its most popular item, “arepa,” a thick type of flatbread made from corn, Arepana combines the popular Latin American cuisines including Puerto Rican, Venezuelan, Colombian and Cuban.
I opted for the most popular arepa, “pabellon,” which is filled with shredded beef, black beans, baked plantains, cheese and roja sauce, with a side of yuca fries. The restaurant also features side items and a variety of delicious sauces. Look them up on Facebook.
