Thirsty for science – and maybe a beer or two? Just head to Science Café on April 19 at Backwoods Bistro, across from Leon High School on Tennessee Street.
The free, quarterly cafés, organized by the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, showcase some of the cool research happening there. This month, chemist Huan Chen talks about tiny hunters lurking in your body – predatory bacteria – and ways scientists could team up with them against their common enemy: the bacteria that make people sick.
Chen’s talk begins at 6:15PM. Get there early to snag a seat and order that beer.
