Children’s Week at the Capitol

by

March 26 marked the first day of Children’s Week, when hundreds of volunteers gathered in the Capitol Rotunda for “Hanging of the Hands” as a reminder of the enormous impact legislators have on Florida’s next generation.

It’s the largest event hosted at the Capitol, with approximately 5,000 attendees. Children’s Week features forums on education, advocacy and well-being. For children, Storybook Village is a magical world of favorite stories and characters, culminating in Storybook Stage performances.

All events reinforce the message that every child in Florida must be healthy, ready to learn and able to achieve their full potential.
