Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with these events in Tallahassee

The whole family can celebrate Florida’s rich Hispanic heritage:

• On Sept. 14, the 2nd Saturday with the Museum of Florida History presents the La Florida: Hispanic Heritage Month for kids to explore the history, food, music and language of Florida’s Hispanic cultures and also make maracas.

• The Cultura Tallahassee Exhibit Opening Reception takes place Sept. 14 at the Bruce J. Host Northeast Branch Library featuring a variety of art by local artisans. The event is open to all ages.

• The Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication’s 20th Anniversary Gala is Oct. 11, with awards, a silent auction, live music and dinner.
