Did you know that worms don’t actually grunt? The name for this annual festival comes from the grunting sound made by rubbing together wood and iron underground. This tricks worms into wiggling up to the surface, where they are caught by fishermen and used for bait.
The one-day, outdoor festival will take place Saturday, April 8, in Sopchoppy, and will provide a full day of family fun, games and activities, live music and more than 100 arts and crafts vendors. Admission is free.
Historic Sopchoppy is located just south of Tallahassee in Wakulla County. For more information, click here.
