The Tallahassee Memorial Animal Therapy Program continues to grow, and now includes more than 150 volunteer teams. As our program expands, so does its impact. Our highly qualified teams – which include dogs, cats, horses and the nation’s only registered therapy mule – provide therapeutic services to 60 facilities around the Big Bend.
Scientific research shows that animals can help improve pain management, increase motivation and reduce blood pressure. We’re proud of our work in fostering the therapeutic bond between people and animals, and we look forward to continued success in the future.
