I Love Lucy TV Debut, Riccardo’s Share Anniversary

by

It’s no coincidence that Tallahassee’s Italian restaurant, Riccardo’s, opened the same Oct. 15 weekend as the I Love Lucy TV debut, celebrating 17 years and 65 years respectively.

Founding restaurateur Tina Lipford shares the same Jamestown, New York, birthplace as the famous redhead, greeting customers dressed as the comedian. Patrons come for the incredible food and to view the unique collection from the Emmy Award-winning show — including a 4-foot cutout of the classic “candy factory” episode, donated by Disney Studios.

Son-in-law John Acevedo now runs the business and will soon announce their new location via Facebook!
