At Midpoint, Where to Now for Legislature?

Halfway home for the Legislature, and it is anyone’s guess on when and how things will turn out. While dates already have been released for the 2018 Session, many are wondering how late Sine Die might be in 2017.

The big issues remaining are many. Between the chambers and the executive branch, the differences on those issues are extensive and, in some cases, widening.

Despite the tension at the Capitol, a way forward on the big issues will be found, like always, and the political impact of it all will be the real issue to keep a close eye on.
