Today, aerospace leaders land in Tallahassee for Florida Space Day to educate legislators of the impact this industry has on our state.
In 2014, the industry created nearly 150,000 jobs, generating $18.4 billion in sales and revenue. Thirty-two launches are in the 2017 manifest, operations are progressing at Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, and programs are expanding.
The announcement of the newly-discovered Earth-like planets reminded us of the possibilities the aerospace industry unlocks. Harnessing these possibilities can secure Florida’s role in space exploration, with government and industry working together to reach the stars.
