To meet growing demand and modernize operating rooms and intensive care units, TMH is undergoing a major 340,000-square-foot and $250 million expansion.
The official name of the new facility is the M.T. Mustian Center, which will contain 28 operating rooms and 70 intensive care adult beds. Officials expect to start admitting patients to the new facility by early 2019. The new facility will be connected to the existing hospital and is located on the southeast corner of TMH.
According to TMH, traffic is not expected to increase dramatically as the new patient population will be gradual.
