Zika, West Nile and other mosquito-borne diseases have caused quite a bit of concern for Floridians in all areas of the state. And while the temperatures are just starting to dip throughout the Sunshine State, the dog days of summer haven’t quite disappeared. Which means the mosquitoes haven’t either.
The Florida Department of Health is reminding residents to protect themselves against mosquito bites and prevent breeding by dumping standing water. Remember to cover up with clothing and use insect repellent when going outdoors.
