National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is celebrated every year on the fourth Saturday of September. Hundreds of thousands of people come together each year to learn about, serve and play on public lands.
It is the largest single-day volunteer effort for America’s public lands. Last year, nearly 200,000 people across the country participated.
Admission to most national parks, monuments and recreation areas will cost nothing on Saturday, Sept. 28. People of all ages can come together to care for and celebrate public lands.
Check out the official NPLD website to learn more and find an event near you.
