Anyone can join the fight against invasive lionfish. That’s the message of Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day (LRAD), which will be hosted by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) on Saturday, May 20. Through statewide events, LRAD raises awareness about lionfish, which continue to threaten Florida’s native marine life.
Stop by the LRAD Festival in Pensacola on May 20-21 for activities ranging from lionfish tastings to family friendly games. Prefer to be part of the lionfish-hunting action? A tournament will also be held.
If you can’t make it to Pensacola, check out your local LRAD event.
