Independence Day

Another holiday. Another cancellation. Another way to find creative ways to mark an occasion. This time it’s one of America’s favorite summertime celebrations, our Independence Day.

Yes, we can post a few red, white and blue inspired recipes, cocktails and décor, even pontificate on what our founding fathers would think of the USA, a mere 241 years later. What I’m most disappointed about is that public firework displays have fallen wayside amid the pandemic.

As we continue to celebrate life’s events virtually, let’s take time to enjoy music, military salutes, flyovers and fireworks from the safety of our own backyard.
