Circuit Judge Lance E. Neff’s investiture ceremony will take place Friday at 3 p.m. at the Leon County Courthouse, according to the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court Administrator. An investiture ceremony is where judges officially gain their robes and are sworn into service.
The event is in courtroom 2-E and is open to the public. Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed Neff in October to replace Kevin Carroll, who died. Neff will preside over family court cases in Leon County. Neff previously served as general counsel for the Florida Department of Corrections and worked in the Attorney General’s office.
