Get to know the IOP@FSU

Tallahassee is home to the only Institute of Politics in the southern United States. Launched in 2020 after being established by the Florida Legislature, the Institute of Politics at Florida State University, or IOP@FSU, joins the ranks of similar institutes at the University of Chicago, the University of Pittsburgh, Harvard University and more.

The IOP@FSU exists to serve as a convener of political ideas, insight and research, focusing on promoting civic engagement and civil discourse throughout Florida and even nationally.

It also hosts an undergraduate fellows program, offering students opportunities to engage directly with world-class researchers and experienced public servants.
