Task forces are evaluating three new possible highways in Florida as part of the Multi-use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) program. Now, former Governor Jeb Bush has expressed his support, stating it’s “exactly the kind of plan that will change Florida’s future for the better.”
Bush notes M-CORES has “the potential to deliver many benefits for Florida” like addressing traffic congestion, boosting economic development, encouraging increased trade and commerce, and serving as evacuation routes.
And, as Bush points out, M-CORES can do so “while balancing the protection of our state’s natural resources and the environment with the infrastructure required.”
