Session at halfway point, crunch time has arrived

Don’t blink, it goes by fast. The legislative session is already half over, with one month until scheduled adjournment. High-profile issues like new rules for smokeable medical marijuana have already received a great deal of action.

Now, the deal-making will take center stage. Leaders in both chambers will position their priorities for final passage, all the while keeping in mind their counterparts’ must-haves, as well as priorities for Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Twists and turns in the process will occur, but with the arrival of April, the light at the end-of-the-session tunnel is clearly visible.
