Speaker of the House Oliva details important legislative session issues

This session we will debate and vote on issues of substance. Taxes, the size of government, criminal justice, gambling, medical marijuana and much more. The debates will be passionate, and no one will get everything they want.

Politics will be on display, and the next election will only loom larger every day. But there’s one issue that must transcend the usual partisan divide – that issue is the cost of health care. I believe – no, I know – that there’s plenty of blame to go around. But there’s one thing we know – markets work. It’s time we harness that indisputable, irrefutable truth.
