By voting YES this past August on Amendment 4, Florida voters overwhelmingly voiced their support for solar progress in the Sunshine State. Well, now what?
The amendment was supported by 73 percent of voters so we anticipate the Legislature will pass the necessary implementation language allowing solar tax incentives to proceed in Florida. That process is off to a strong start with Senator Jeff Brandes introducing Senate Bill 90, which fills in the details of how the new tax protections for solar customers will work in practice.
We are optimistic that this bill will pass in the 2017 Legislative Session.
