Consumers are expected to spend $1,007.24 this holiday season in three main categories: gifts ($637.67); non-gift holiday items like food, decorations, flowers, etc. ($215.04); and gifts for themselves ($154.53).
The most popular toys this season? Pomsies, FurReal Friends, the Fortnite edition of Monopoly, Hatchimals, classics like Barbie dolls and Legos, Nerf toys, and anything with a big brand name behind it, like Harry Potter or Jurassic Park.
