National Fishing and Boating Week

Fishing reel on a boat

Celebrate Florida’s bountiful waters this June 2-10 during National Fishing and Boating Week. The nine-day period highlights the recreational boating and fishing community and their economic and tourism importance to the Sunshine State.

It also coincides with Florida’s two consecutive weekends of license-free fishing days June 2-3 (saltwater) and June 9-10 (freshwater), which creates even more opportunities for family and friends to make long-lasting memories.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the fishing license requirement is waived for all recreational anglers, residents and non-residents during those days. Let’s go fishing.
