City of the Seven Hills

Tallahassee, Florida, has long been referred to as City of the Seven Hills. In fact, a 2013 post by Richard Butgereit at the Florida Division of Emergency Management reports that the Seven Hills are:

1. Goodwood Plantation – 216 feet
2. Old Fort Park – 212 feet
3. Mission San Luis – 208 feet
4. Old Capitol – 207 feet
5. The Grove – 204 feet
6. FAMU (Lee Hall) – 192 feet
7. FSU’s Westcott Hall – 176 feet

And while these hills are steeped in history, and not too difficult to climb, still one of the best views of these Tallahassee sites is from the 22nd floor of the Capitol Complex.
