Florida has two universities in the top 25 best colleges ranking according to the 2020 list by U.S. News & World Report.
University of Florida moved up one spot to No. 7, making this its third consecutive year in the top 10. Florida State University has climbed 25 spots since 2016, and now sits at No. 18. In the last year alone, it has moved eight spots from No. 26, marking the largest jump in the history of the university.
In an effort to ease the college decision process, U.S. News & World Report began ranking institutions 35 years ago.
