Big changes coming to the Capitol Complex

by The 100 Companies

The first cracks in the Senate parking garage spurred a complete rebuild. The House side followed thereafter. Now two beautiful parks atop the new parking garages have given the Florida Capitol a new vision in the next few years to remake the exterior.

Opened in 1977, the Capitol has the feel of a “lowest-bidder in government building design” award-winner. New plans to rebuild Waller Park on the west side, and to replace all the grated windows on the 22 floors, are moving forward.

The window replacement alone will brighten the place, if not necessarily shine light on happenings there.
