What’s next in Florida State’s lawsuit against the Atlantic Coast Conference? After being left out of the College Football Playoff, Florida State sued the ACC, challenging the grant of rights clause in the conference membership agreement. FSU leadership has been concerned about the significant revenue shortfall when compared to the two richest conferences in college football, the Big 10 and the SEC.

Will FSU’s suit hold up? It will likely take strong arguments and a sympathetic judge to agree. The conference has filed a countersuit as well. Expect this battle to last well into the next football season and beyond.
