Jacksonville Mayor’s race shaping up quickly

by The 100 Companies

In exactly one year, Jacksonville voters will choose a new mayor to replace term-limited Lenny Curry.

In the first election on March 21, 2023, all candidates will appear on the ballot with party affiliation listed. If no candidate wins a majority, the top two candidates will advance to the general election on May 16.

Currently Donna Deegan is the sole Democrat running. City councilmembers LeAnna Cumber and Al Ferraro have filed, along with two NPA candidates. Jacksonville Chamber President Daniel Davis is likely to join the race as he, along with Cumber and Deegan, have amassed large warchests in political committees.
