Provide input on new education standards through online tool

education standard input

Following an executive order from Gov. DeSantis to replace Common Core academic standards with new world-class standards, the Florida Department of Education is reviewing the current standards for kindergarten through 12th grade in order to make recommendations for revisions.

The public can participate in this process through a new online tool recently announced by the Department of Education. Each of Florida’s current mathematics and English language arts standards can be reviewed by grade level and there is an opportunity to provide input on whether standards should be kept, revised or eliminated.

Standards for additional content areas are forthcoming.
