Memorial Day: A time to honor and remember

With the Memorial Day weekend kickoff of summer approaching, we continue to be reminded of the true meaning of Memorial Day.

In Tallahassee, friends and family of Staff Sgt. Carl Enis were heartbroken by the news in March that Enis was killed, along with six other service members, when his helicopter crashed in Iraq.

As we prepare to take time off and enjoy the company of family and friends this Memorial Day, we should all take time to honor heroes like Staff Sgt. Enis and their families, and pray for the safe return home of those still in harm’s way.
