Like many, I wanted to experience Cuba and unlock its mysteries. It was an opportunity to marvel at classic cars as I roamed the streets and enjoyed beautiful landscapes and colonial architecture. I traveled back in time and witnessed the slow evolution of modern amenities.
Cuba is paradise with a sharp edge directed at Cubans, insulating tourists from discomfort. Billboards display the living history of communism and oppression – “Socialism or Death,” they read.
