My Trip to Cuba

by

Like many, I wanted to experience Cuba and unlock its mysteries. It was an opportunity to marvel at classic cars as I roamed the streets and enjoyed beautiful landscapes and colonial architecture. I traveled back in time and witnessed the slow evolution of modern amenities.

Cuba is paradise with a sharp edge directed at Cubans, insulating tourists from discomfort. Billboards display the living history of communism and oppression – “Socialism or Death,” they read. Cloaked in the darkness of night, a former university professor spoke with fear and anger about the life of average Cubans. Hear his story on The Rotunda.
