There’s a new park coming to Tallahassee, with construction beginning in the Greater Bond neighborhood this month.

In a Thursday, July 18, WTXL news story, City Commissioner Curtis Richardson stated, “We will provide an amenity for social connection, for health and wellness, it will encourage people to walk and get out of their homes and out of cars and community connection.”

The city of Tallahassee received the AARP Community Challenge grant, providing $8,880 for construction of the linear park. The AARP Community Challenge grant program is designed to help communities make improvements in support of residents of all ages.
