Things to do to stay cool this summer

With school out for the summer, try activities that will keep your kids and family entertained and out of the sun.

Florida’s museums will keep you cool and educated. Find one through the Florida Association of Museum’s online database. Leon County’s public library system offers several programs and events for kids of all ages.

For outside activities that will still keep you cool, visit Marianna’s cave system – which averages 65 degrees. For off-the-beaten-track outdoor water activities, try Bob’s River Place.

For more creative summer fun, try the class offerings at the Lafayette Park Arts and Craft Center.
