St. Thomas More hit by arson

by
fire damage

The Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More, home to Florida State University’s Catholic Student Union, was the target of an arson attack last week. Two chairs were set on fire, but thanks to quick action by parish staff, the blaze was put out before major damage was done. An active investigation is currently ongoing.

As a parishioner of St. Thomas More, I am heartbroken but not discouraged. Buildings can be repaired. The Church is built on those in the pews.
