It’s May and love(bugs) are in the air. As Floridians, we are all familiar with the amorous insects that lead to extra trips to the car wash.
This invasive species originally came from Central America and first appeared in Florida in the 1940s. They are particularly attracted to heat and exhaust fumes of cars, lawn mowers and other engines. While their life span is only about three or four days, they can wreak havoc on your vehicle’s paint if not washed off immediately.
