Boy Scouts of America troops from across the state will unite at Florida’s capitol for its first-ever Scout Day on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The Scout mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
The celebration will include speeches from elected officials (Gov. Scott, Agriculture Commissioner Putnam, and Speaker of the House Corcoran have been invited), a Scout-prepared lunch for the public and tours of the House and Senate chambers to meet with their local state representatives and senators.
