New scholarship for kids bullied at school

Hope Scholarship

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) recently announced a new program to help students who have been victims of harassment, bullying, or other violence at school. The Hope Scholarship is available on a first-come, first-served basis to children enrolled in Florida’s K-12 public schools.

Qualifying students can receive scholarships of up to $6,519 for grades K-5, $6,815 for grades 6-8 and $7,111 for grades 9-12. Students who are transferring to a new public school in a different school district will receive up to $750 to reimburse their families for transportation costs.
