car charging stations

You’ve got an awesome road trip planned. You’ve mapped out your hotels, restaurants and even gas station stops. But what if your car is electric and doesn’t run on gas?

No worries, Florida travelers. Gov. Ron DeSantis recently announced that several hundred ultra-fast charging stations for electric cars are being installed at service centers along the Florida Turnpike and on major interstate highways throughout the state.

The park-and-plug charging stations, part of Florida’s clean-air initiative, are funded through Volkswagon’s 2018 settlement ordered by the United States Department of Justice, to mitigate VW’s violations of emissions regulations.
